Doing Our Part in the Community

South Florida Gay Flag Football League (SFGFFL) Players are helping out in some VERY big ways!!

Our players are participating in the following events:

  • Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser – A fundraiser being held to raise donations for those displaced and affected by Hurricane Sandy.  CAT 5 will be selling Jell-O Shots to help!!
  • Giving Thanks & Giving – A food drive to help those in local shelters and treatment centers over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
  • The White Party – Sponsored by Care Resources, CAT 5 Players are assisting with set-up and tear-down of the events at Muscle Beach among other venues.

Being part of a community that helps to make our dreams possible

inspires us to help others attain theirs.

South Florida Gay Flag Football Association

The Champions are…

Matty’s Ballers!  It was a tremendous first season!  Every team displayed amazing athleticism, skill and camaraderie!  But in the end, Matty’s Ballers prevailed…

Followed by the Depot Daredevils…

and then Bier Garden Gangbangers.

And even though there was only trophy, everybody who played this inaugural season should consider themselves a winner.

For some amazing photos, friend us on Facebook.  In the meantime, here’s a video recapping this Spring Season.

Gay Bowl 2

Gay Bowl 2011

Well Gay Bowl 2011 in Houston was an experience.  It started out as Dust Bowl, then Wet Bowl and then No Bowl.  Conditions were tough, but South Florida Cat5 played hard.  Learned a lot and got to compete with some of the best teams in the nation.

Sunshine Cup 59

Florida Sunshine Cup 2012

Well, this year’s Sunshine Cup was better than ever!  More teams, more boys and more football!  Sounds like a winning combination, huh?  If you didn’t make it, you missed out on a lot of fun!  But don’t worry, there’s always next year!  Congratulations to the NY Honey Badgers for taking home the title!  And a big shout out to Javier Cavero for putting it all together!

Here are some photos from this year’s smashing event! If you want  to see more photos, friend us on Facebook.
